Sewing Machines With Speed Control
Sewing Machines With Speed Control

If you are searching for a sewing machine with speed control then this post might be of help to you. All the sewing machines on here have that feature built into them. This will save you plenty of time on finding one that has this feature.

Having a speed control function in a sewing machine is pretty handy. It allows you to adjust your sewing speed. Both beginners and advanced users can benefit a lot from this function.

For example, beginners can use this function to learn how to sew until they are ready or comfortable to go to a higher sewing speed. With a slower sewing speed a novice is less likely to get hurt from sewing.

As for advanced users, they can use this function to teach others how to sew and they can sew at a faster sewing speed to get their sewing projects done faster. Sewing machines with this function usually have a fast sewing speed.

I will point out each sewing machine’s respective maximum sewing speed in green text color. The sewing speed is usually calculated per minute.

If you need a sewing machine that can sew very fast then the Bernette B77 might be a good choice but the price is pretty high. This machine can sew up to 1000 stitches per minute and that is the highest from this list.

If you need an affordable and popular one then try the Brother CS6000I or Singer 7258 sewing machines.

Please do note, I only included a summary of the features and included items on this page for each sewing machine model.

You might want to read the sales page to find out all the features and included items for each sewing machine.

1. Brother CS6000I Sewing Machine

If you need an affordable machine in retail price and with the sewing speed adjustment function then you should go with this one.

This one is the most popular in the list and it’s been out in the market for about 6 years. It also has a pretty darn high average rating. This model has two newer versions.

These two newer versions don’t have that many differences but I do like the CS7000I version more with its lighter blue color on top of the machine instead of dark blue and it also has two flower buds with vines imprinted on the machine.

It has 10 more built in stitches. You can click here to see what it looks like and click here for the CS7000X model. Click here to buy or read more about the Brother CS6000I sewing machine.

This is another model that has the sewing speed slider and is most affordable with its retail price. This model is the second most popular from the list and it’s been out in the market for about 10 years.

The biggest difference between the above model is that the Singer 7258 has a metal frame and the Brother CS6000I has a plastic frame.

In my opinion this model is worth the money. By the way, I have written a full detailed review about this model. Click here to read more about it.

4. Janome Magnolia 7330 Machine

This is the third most popular sewing machine. It has super high average ratings but it has been out in the market for over 10 years already. The listing price for this one is higher than the above two models.

I think the look for this model is very pretty and nice with three yellow flowers imprinted on the machine. It gives you the look of it being made for a female to sew with it.

If you need a Baby Lock brand sewing machine then this is the one you should go for. It has a very high average rating. It looks kind of nice too.

I think it is kind of hard to find a Baby Lock sewing machine from your local store. At least I still can’t find one in my local stores. I only see them offered online and at certain websites. Not that many are offering this brand even online.

Some users are saying this model is a high quality machine, runs smoothly, is quiet and easy to operate.

This model can be used for both beginners and advanced users.

Here is another Brother brand with the speed control feature. I have written a full review of the Brother Innov-is NS80E model. This one’s price is higher than the above model.

If you don’t really care too much about the number of built in stitches then I suggest to get the above model of Brother CS6000I. The Brother CS6000I does have a lower number of feed dog points. It is only by 1 point and it is a lot more popular than this one.

8. Bernette B77 Sewing and Quilting Machine

This one has the highest retail price when it is being compared with the rest of the sewing machine models in this article. Despite the high price there are still consumers who are buying this model. That is because this company makes great sewing machines.

The model can do both sewing and quilting and maybe that is why the price is much higher than other models. As you can see from below in the feature section, it comes with 500 stitch patterns. That is the highest number of stitch patterns I have seen so far.

This model is also available on amazon but it is offered by third party sellers. You may want to click here to read more about this model or the below image if you are interested in this model.
